Prince’s Sensory Delights

Many Children with Aspergers experience sensory processing difficulties or sensory processing disorder (SPD). Sensory Processing is the neurological processing and interpretation of sensation within one’s own body and from the environment. In short, it is the brain’s organization and interpretation of the sensory input from everyday use. This is a complex interrelationship of processes, hence the term sensory integration.

Today's Woman Blog Special Need Clothing: Prince's Sensory Delights

“Back to school” traditionally means buying fall clothing. For a parent who has a child with sensory issues back to school shopping can become a challenge.

For children with sensory issues they might be feeling their sock seam or waist band all day long, which can lead to school distraction.

For a mother whose sensational child has both tactile and vestibular issues, a place like Prince's Sensory Delight is a gem. Now, I know there are a lot of places online that cater to the needs of our kids, and many more of them are emerging that do specialize in clothing that wont “itch” or “tickle”, but they have a certain charm that makes them stand out.
