What is the difference between our undershirt style and our sleeveless compression shirt you may ask. 

 

Larger arm holes and lower neck line style this shirt as more of an undershirt than an outer shirt. It is made of the same comfy 4-way stretch fabric which allows the child to work or play creatively and actively, while providing deep pressure calming and organizing sensory input. 

 

Evidence suggests that weight and pressure inputs provide both tactile and proprioceptive input to the body, calming the central nervous system as well as providing postural support and input to weak, floppy, or low tone (hypotonia) musculature.  

 

Compression Deep touch pressure causes the release of both serotonin and dopamine in the brain.  These are "happy " neurotransmitters and produce a feeling of calm. Sensory Compression and Deep pressure often increase our Happy hormones while also slowing down our involuntary functions such as heart rate, blood pressure and the stress hormone cortisol.
